Pictures.

And that's me in the snow on February 2nd, 2010.

Our road with the crazy amount of snow, we got on February 2nd, 2010.

And this is the teddybear, Nat named for me. It's Buster and he's a german shepherd. And he's lying under my shrunken curtains, lol!

And this is my acrylic nails on my left hand.

And my right hand. I'm so in love with them that I'll order stuff home so I can do them myself from now on.

  1. Can I just give a small piece of advice about the nails? They look really nice but since you said you wanna do it at home soon, first of all, I wouldn't do that without taking a course where you're taught exactly how to do it. I know it looks easy but the problem is that your nail needs a certain static so it will break or fall off if you hit your finger too hard. If it is done the wrong way, it can lift your natural nail off along the way and I doubt I need to explain how bad that can be. ;) Also, what I saw many tutorials don't explain is that you have to seal the edges properly. Otherwise, the material can lift a little so water and other fluids can get underneath which can cause the natural nail to mould, etc.

The other thing is that IF you wanna do it, I'd go for gel rather than acryl. It is more flexibel and less prone to break / splinter. Also, acryl isn't very healthy when you file it off so if you insist on using it, I strongly suggest wearing a mask whenever you remove it.

Not being a bitch but I don't want you to end up worrying about your nails like I did.

  2. That is really sweet of you, Kathy, but I've done my own nails for a long time.
Yeah, I've used gel nails, but I prefer acrylic because in my line of work, I need something that can stand the fact that I wash my hands 9384384748392 times a day.
Also, I would never just put new nails on, when the old ones come off.
If one comes off or chip or whatever, I would take them all off and give my own nails some time to breathe, before putting on new ones.
I buy my stuff from a professional firm, so I'd have no problems removing in or whatever.
I don't worry about my nails, because as amazing as I think it looks and even though I wanna use them on a regular basis, I'd give my own nails time to breathe between new nails.
Check the site where I buy from: www.b4beauty.dk (it comes in different languages, lol)
But thanks for your concern 8)
